Tamarama House

This new three level house located on a magnificent site overlooking Tamarama was a challenging exercise in how to design a family home on a steeply sloping site which would capture the amazing ocean views while also remaining connected with its site. The solution was to engage with the site across each level, not just the top and bottom levels. A staggered arrangement of spaces ensured that the private rooms each connected individually with their particular part of the site while the communal areas opened up as much as possible to the panoramic Pacific. A natural palette of robust yet sophisticated materials both contrast and complement the site for maximum effect.
