Dover Heights House

Difficult steep sites are one of the constraints that we often enjoy the most. At this house in Dover Heights the challenge was to create a large family home that would maximise the opportunities of a steep site while offering a modest presence to the street. Conscious of the views of neighbours we worked with them to avoid as much as possible any view loss. The design approach sought to bring a contemporary material palette to an otherwise conservative streetscape and clever planning which maximised living spaces for a family who loves to entertain while providing those intimate and protected spaces for refuge and play.
