Dover Heights Duplex

About This Project

Situated within Sydney’s Dover Heights these two attached dwellings were designed to capture expansive views west across the harbour to the CBD. Constructed on a sloping site the dwellings were able to maximise their living space across three levels offering both generous and intimate living areas.
A carefully articulated and minimal material palette ensures the two dwellings have a coherent appearance from the street while reading as two distinct dwellings.
Living areas were situated on the upper level to take advantage of the views while the more informal areas were located at the lower garden level with direct access to the pool
The western facade required a careful balance between making the most of the harbour views while mitigating the western sun. This was achieved through a combination of performance glazing and large balcony overhangs.
