Graffiti House – When builders go bust

WAREHOUSE RENOVATION – At Home magazine feature

Our warehouse renovation recently received a generous front page spread in the ‘At Home’ magazine. The article focused on what can be done when a builder ‘goes bust’ to ensure the job stays on track and does not turn in to a nightmare for the client. Unfortunately the original builder on Graffiti house ceased trading part way in to the process. Luckily we were administering the contract between the builder and client on this job and were able to ensure a relatively seamless transition to a new builder while also assisting the client with the ensuing insurance claim. Navigating the hurdles involved when something like this takes place is clearly not something most people are familiar with. Having an architect on board during construction is important to ensure the end result is what you dreamed it would be. When a builder goes bust it is even more vital that there is someone capable of keeping things moving with as minimal disruption to the process as possible.
